Position Summary:

The Production Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for supporting all aspects of AS9100 manufacturing operations from product manufacturing to maintaining inventory, along with production team management in a friendly, fast-paced team environment.

Duties:

  • Ensure that the highest level of customer service and ethics are followed.
  • Train Warehouse Production staff.
  • Generate and maintain accurate required AS9100 order documentation.
  • Address and resolve all customer/ MFCP branches requests and/or complaints utilizing a positive, creative approach.
  • Provide customer/MFCP Branch Support with technical product information.
  • Estimate date of delivery to customer/MFCP branches based on current inventory levels, supplier availability and/or production schedule.
  • Participate in required product training to build required product knowledge.
  • Collaborate with all departments and personnel to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Promote employee teamwork and motivation, including employee recognition.
  • Encourage positive thinking approaches to problem solving.
  • Champion implementation of MFCP programs and policies within warehouse.
  • Ensure compliance with all company rules, policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to strict Safety Guidelines.
  • Understanding of P21, and PORG
  • Allocate, distribute, pull/pick product in proper location.
  • Package and stage materials or products for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling).
  • Ship products utilizing various methods from national carriers to customer vehicles.
  • Assist with inventory control and cycle counting.
  • Assembly production involving building small to large hoses, operating swagers, etc.
  • Fabrication and use of complex machinery for kitting manufacturing may be required.
  • Understanding of all shop equipment and how operate/maintain.
  • Complete forklift/safety orientation course(s); operate forklift as needed.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
  • Work Directly w/ Quality Assurance Rep insuring damaged product is not received or sent.
  • Understanding of AS9100 Certification and all applicable activities within the location (audits, continual improvement, process development, etc.)
  • Blueprint and schematic reading.
  • Efficient use of measuring devices-tape measure, calipers, micrometers, borescope etc.

Basic Requirements:

  • Must be over the age of 21, as driving is required.
  • Excellent written & oral communication and strong relationship building skills required.
  • Detail oriented with solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Basic computer skills including use of MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook) and Internet, with a willingness to learn new software programs. Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 a plus.
  • Strong Mechanical background and forklift certification (applicable state certification) are a plus.
  • Experience in Aerospace and/or Defense manufacturing production environments a plus.
  • Experience with industrial distribution preferred. Familiarity with industrial and hydraulic hose and fittings, especially Parker Hannifin a plus.
  • Must be able to work with a wide variety of people and personalities.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • As MFCP is a small employer and employees work in a collaborative team environment, employee must be physically present in the office to perform his/her job functions.
  • Understanding of CAD software and how to create DXF files for cutting equipment a plus.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Job requires frequent lifting up to 70 pounds, stooping, reaching above shoulder level, pushing, pulling, constantly walking/standing on cement flooring, and climbing ladders as needed. Work environment may vary including warehouse containing moving equipment, fluctuating temperature and inventory in various storage arrangements, office work, manufacturing, machine shops, agricultural operations, and any other specific business operations of current or potential customers. Salary:

$33.00 - $37.00/hour, depending on experience.
