Job Description:

The salary range for this position is dependent on experience level ranging from $101,000.00 to $126,000.00



Qualifications: (minimum qualifications for assignment to this job)



Education: High School Diploma



Experience: Associate degree and 10 years of underground Construction and


Maintenance experience or a High School diploma and 13 years of


Construction and Maintenance experience. Supervisory experience of a union


and non-union workforce is preferred.



Purpose:



Supervises employees in the construction and maintenance of


gas distribution and transmission systems. Oversees, plans,


and schedules new construction work, preventive and corrective


maintenance, inspections, and training activities. Ensure that


construction and maintenance are complete in accordance with construction,


standards, following approved policies, procedures, safety-


rules, and budgets. May interact with customers (internal and external) to solve problems/concerns and ensure customer satisfaction.



Key Responsibilities:



Supervises both Company employees and subcontractor crews, in the


construction, operation, and maintenance of gas distribution


systems.


Plans, schedules, and directs new construction work, preventive


maintenance work inspects and performs corrective maintenance on


gas facilities and provides safety training to the assigned crews.


Prepares damage reports as-built drawings, leak reports, time sheets,


company accident reports and other paperwork necessary to


complete jobs and account for work completed.


Provides insight, experience and explores new technologies to improve


methods and techniques to achieve improved department efficiency.


Knowledge of underground gas construction, properties of natural gas,


bargaining unit labor agreements, gas leak detection methods


and procedures, CBYD regulations, State and federal pipeline safety


regulations, Hazmat, and OSHA are preferred. Ability to read


construction maps and drawings, mechanical ability, oral and written


communication skills, Organization and planning skills are


required. Must have a valid driver's license. May require various DOT


Operator Qualifications. Must be available for response during


after-hours to work storms, emergencies, and critical assignments.
