As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing income statements, balance sheets, statements of cash flow, consolidated financial reports and various other accounting statements and reports. You will analyze financial reports and records, making recommendations relative to the accounting of assets, liabilities, revenues and expenditures. Prepares, reviews and verifies the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records and account reconciliations. The Senior Accountant also determines and updates cost center requirements and rollup structures and assists
in the setup of processes and procedures that properly capture, track and report revenue, including deferred revenue, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices. This position is also responsible for advising management in terms of financial reporting, tracking and performance.

Set forth below is a list of the essential duties and responsibilities (or "essential functions") of this position.


  • Perform month end close accurately and timely

  • Develops detailed understanding of the end-to-end process for various tasks in order to complete a monthly analyses of the expense accounts to prevent any misclassifications or errors.

  • Proactively works on preparing weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries in support general accounting.

  • Reconciles balance sheet accounts; Investigates and resolves variances on a timely basis.

  • Supports assigned internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.

  • Completes special projects and analyses as requested by department leadership.

  • Proactively seeks to keep abreast of accounting, reporting and disclosure standards promulgated by the FASB, SEC and PCAOB that affect internal accounting and reporting practices. Provides sound analysis and supports the impact of changes.

Qualifications


  • 5+ Years' experience

  • BA in Accounting or related field
