Job Description:

• The assigned FCRD goes out to the foster home assigned once a month, make sure all their needs are met. Meet with foster parent and see the child at least every other month in the foster home setting.
• The assigned FCRD keeps in regular contact with the foster parents and CFS Case Manager through phone calls, text messaging, emails and respond in timely manner
• The assigned FCRD can attend family team meetings, court hearings, school mtgs, etc.
• Other duties include completely monthly documentation on their assigned foster homes they are supporting and provide this documentation to the assigned CFS worker.
• Complete placement support plans on newly assigned foster homes within 10 business days of placement and update those placement support plans every 60 days on their homes.
• The assigned FCRD will work at meeting the needs of the foster home by referring them to community resources, training opportunities, supports and complete green phone service referrals for payment of things such as grocery vouchers, clothings, health report
• Work with assigned foster homes on licensing them so the State can draw down IV-E funding. Which is basically guiding them through all the requirements, training that licensure requires.
• New homes need to work with them on getting fingerprinted timely within 7 days of placement occurred and/or fingerprint them after being trained by the NSP.
• Completing home studies if we don't get a home study contractor to take on doing the home study for us. The type of home studies we do are initial, relative, kinship, adoption, ICPC, parental, and/or suiteability. Do expedite walk throughs of ICPC placements and get that report to the ICPC folks timely within 7, 10, or 20 days.
• Address any placement concerns on assigned foster homes as they arise and ask CFS Case Manager if they are wanting to do a phone call in regards to those issues. Address the issues with the foster parents as needed as well, having those tough conversations.
• Complete Audits, review completed background checks for accuracy.
• Recruitment Activities complete
• On-Call expectation which is about 4 days a quarter. On-Call consists of making phone calls to provider agencies from your home (don't need to leave and go to the office) and see if they have a licensed foster home that can take a child(ren) that has been removed. We also look for emergency shelters, EFH/SLP placements for those harder to placement kiddos as well. There is support by supervisor on call at the same as well for help or questions.



Requirements/ Qualifications:




Minimum Qualifications: Post high school coursework/training in social work, sociology, counseling, guidance, psychology, child development or related field and experience in resource development, eligibility determination or contract monitoring within a public service organization.
OR
Bachelor's degree in any of the fields listed above.


-On-call expectations-not leaving their home but making phone calls searching for placement for youth after hours, weekends, holidays.


-Travel, this FCRD support position does travel to and from foster homes supporting these homes where statewards are placed. Counties: Platte, Butler, Seward, York, Merrick, Hamilton, Nance is the potential territory that a foster home could be located for this support positions.


-sometimes have to work around foster parents schedule for home visits.


-Work from Home-is NOT an option at this time. Office setting only.
