Job Description:

Sherman Reservoir State Recreation Area is looking for a dynamic and collaborative individual to fill the role of the Superintendent III position. This pivotal role involves administering park operations, managing recreational programs, and handling essential administrative functions of Sherman Reservoir State Recreation Area along with "satellite" area Victoria Springs State Recreation Area. Nebraska's amazing wildlife, natural beauty, and outdoor recreation is waiting for you!
JOB DUTIES:
•Management of campground and cabin operations, facility maintenance, grounds keeping, cultural and natural resource management, trail maintenance, maintaining boat/lake access sites, and oversee visitor activities/programs.
•Hire, train, and supervise seasonal workforce for assigned areas of responsibility.
•Development and administration of park area budgets, collecting data, maintaining records, preparing reports, fee collection, oversight of accounts payable and receivable functions.
•Manage lease agreements for concession area and private cabins lots.
•Master planning, infrastructure development and project/construction coordination.
•Lead and communicate with the community and general public in the efforts of park development and promotion.
•Other duties as required.

Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in park/recreation management or a related field; (wildlife, fisheries, natural resources sciences, public administration, history, cultural resource preservation or interpretation, travel and tourism, and planning) AND at least three years related experience including two years in a supervisory capacity. Related coursework/training and/or experience in park/recreation management or related field may substitute for the Bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
