Arcadis is seeking a Construction Manager (MEP focus) to support Project and Program Management in the North American Places business area. This position is based out of Spartanburg, SC.

Role description:

As a Construction Manager, you will manage daily onsite mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) requirements for the battery plant project implementation, installation, start-up and acceptance, Provides project management for battery plant engineering projects, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, rain water systems, electrical power distribution, IT, fire alarm, compressed air, sprinkler.

Role accountabilities:


  • Daily management of on-site construction and handover activities in cooperation with the Project Manager
  • Leads project evaluations by identifying/capturing gaps.
  • Coordinates the installation of the building equipment and provides technical support for new equipment installation.
  • Ensuring all appropriate technical standards are applied during the project.
  • Supporting the owner's commissioning agent in final testing and commissioning of the Project.
  • Supporting the owner's commissioning agent in final testing and commissioning of the Project.
  • Maintaining accurate project files, meetings records and correspondence.
  • Supports contractor activities in engineering, installing, commissioning, documentation, and sign-off of new equipment & structure projects.
  • Participates in cross-functional project teams supporting activities related to the construction of the battery plant.
  • Implementation and development of building standards.
  • Ensures fire protection, occupational safety and other legal requirements are met, and obtains and shares best practice solutions.
  • Collaborates with reference planning for continuous improvement relating to mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) topics.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 6 years of construction management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional accreditation (PE, AIA, CCM, CPC, PMP, LEED).

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $63,000 - $95,000.
