Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Engineer to join our team. This role will be responsible for both the technical design and cost estimation of projects, ensuring they meet client requirements and budgetary constraints.
Responsibilities:
Prepare initial project designs based on client specifications and technical feasibility.
Utilize CAD software to develop and maintain detailed engineering drawings.
Conduct thorough research to identify and incorporate cost-effective materials and processes.
Develop comprehensive and accurate estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.
Collaborate with sales and project management teams to secure project approvals.
Monitor project progress and revise designs and estimates as needed.
Track project costs against estimates, identifying and proposing solutions for discrepancies.
Maintain clear and concise communication with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in estimation and design, or relevant industry experience.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with project management principles a plus.
Knowledge of cost estimating methodologies (e.g., quantity takeoff) preferred
