JOB SUMMARY:

Manage the UF Career Progression Program for University Facilities & serve as a Career Development Coach. Serve as career development advocate as employees seek to meet requirements for the next step in Career Progression & longer-term career and developmental goals. Develop & manage all related processes assuring that the program is sustainable & adapts to the future needs of the organization. Other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

50% - Essential - Program Management:
Manage the UF Career Progression & other related programs including the day to day operational & annual program modifications. Manage the Career Progression annual assessment phase ensuring assessment cycle is communicated & that support & tools are provided to leaders as they perform the annual assessments. Manage the process for identifying Program modifications & improvements. Track Program Progress & Strategic Priorities & analyzes them for trends to identify successes & areas of improvement. Develop program improvement plans & implements them. Forecast budget impact based on actions from Career Progression.

25% - Essential - Employee Training & Development:
Identify specific needs within the Career Progression Program & recommend training topic for development and forecast level of demand. Hold seminars & workshops to educate individuals who are searching for the right career path. Provide Just-in-Time training & communication to leaders to support the Career Progression life cycle.

10% - Essential - Employee Evaluation:
Serve as chairperson on the Supervisor/Manager Career Progression Review Committee. Manage the Review Committee process, including data collection, design and implements surveys, interview customers, peers, & others as needed & provide recommendations to the committee. Verify that all reviews are documented, complete, accurate, & in accordance to University Policies. Revise the Review process as needed to assure that the process is efficient and sustainable.

10% - Essential - Career Coaching and Advising:
Serve as a Career Coach to University Facilities employees seeking guidance in meeting developmental goals. Assist employees in planning strategic career moves & developing leadership skills. Evaluate current experience, education, competencies, & interests as part of recommending career paths & additional education, experience, & development to help achieve career goals. Recommend & administer appropriate tools to assess employee aptitudes and developmental opportunities.

5% - Essential - Administrative Operations:
Monitor & evaluate progress of the overall program and employees by tracking, documenting, & preparing appropriate reports. Develop & revise official standards, guidelines, & procedures affecting the Career Progression Program. Manage the development of marketing material for the Career Progression program. Maintain compliance with established performance standards affecting the Career Progression program.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education - Bachelor's Degree and professional experience related to the position.
Work Experience: 2+ years

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Education - Bachelor's Degree - Human Resources or Education
Work Experience: 5+ years

Provides Budget Input - Provides input into the budgeting process, and oversees fund allocation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Education - Bachelor's Degree - Human Resources or Education
Work Experience: 5+ years

WORKING CONDITIONS:

10% - Overnight Travel

WORK SCHEDULE:

Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm. Standard Hours: 37.5
