JOB SUMMARY

The Benefits Administrator position is responsible for directing and planning the day-to-day operations of group benefit programs (group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, flexible spending plan, and the 401(k) plan). Provide excellent customer service and quality benefit plans.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES· 

• Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations regarding benefits administration including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, Section 125, and others as applicable.

• Coordinates annual reporting for the completion of the Form 5500 for the 401k and Health & Welfare benefits.

• Administer 401(k) benefits to all employees. Oversees the quarterly enrollments as well as daily tasks to ensure plan runs smoothly. Work with carrier as needed and to ensure year-end testing and requirements are met.

• Initiate and manage health benefit monthly and open enrollments. Implements new benefit programs; arranges and conducts employee information presentations and enrollments.

• Resolves discrepancies relating to employee coverage’s and payroll deductions.

• Manages the company’s corporate health and wellness programs including health education programs and corporate communications.

• Reviews and reconciles reports between internal systems and carriers to ensure accuracy and consistency of benefit data. Verifies the calculation of the monthly premiums statements for all group insurance policies. Resolves administrative problems with the carrier representatives • Analyzes data warnings and errors between carrier and Human Resources System. Makes appropriate corrections to maintain accuracy between systems.

• Ensures regular interaction with employees, insurance companies, and broker to support all employee benefits as well as works with vendor partners to ensure clear communication and excellent service to organization.

• Maintain system for benefit administration.

Education and Experience

• Minimum 2-5 years of related professional benefits experience with midsize companies

• Bachelor’s degree a plus

• Prior experience with Ceridian Dayforce a plus.

• Knowledge of group health insurances plans strongly preferred.

• Must have on the job experience with Microsoft Office Word & Excel – minimum Intermediate Level proficiency.

• Strong written and oral communication skills including the ability to maintain confidential information...

• Ability to work independently and manage workload to consistently meet or exceed deadlines.
