The Dental Technology Sales Representative is responsible for growing Darby’s portfolio of technology specific services through the acquisition of new and existing Darby customers. Using our consultive, trust-based sales approach, the Practice Solutions Specialist will be responsible for prospecting, making outbound warm calls to identify new business opportunities and work with existing customers to determine practice needs. Own the sales cycle from lead generation, prospecting, presenting, negotiating and closing opportunities.



Responsibilities

  • Proactively introduce potential and existing customers to Darby’s (SaaS) technology service solution offerings through phone calls, emails, text messages to generate new business opportunities.
  • Prospects daily to achieve sales goals established by management through outbound cold phone calls.
  • Prepare and deliver exceptional in-person and remote presentations to potential and existing customers that showcase the value of Darby’s technology services solutions offering
  • Present and effectively differentiate Darby’s technical product offerings functionality and use
  • Cultivate and develop relationships with internal sales team members so that Darby’s Practice Solutions are presented consistently and effectively to existing customer base.
  • Co-Travel with inside sales team on calls to identify new opportunities and present Darby’s technology solutions to prospective and existing customers
  • Utilizing consultative selling techniques and principles of trust-based selling, take a prospect through all stages of the sales cycle from lead development to decision and implementation .
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and objectives established by the organization
  • Identify practice needs and provide a tailored plan to demonstrate Darby’s value
  • Develop relationships with 3rd party providers identified by management to advance the organization’s strategic sales plans
  • Document and maintain accurate and up-to-date customer interactions and sales activities in SalesForce
  • Attend regional and/or national dental conferences and represent the Practice Solutions division
  • Develop a deep understanding of all technical product offerings, clearly and concisely articulate technical offerings to prospective and existing customers


Qualifications

  • High School diploma required, bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
  • Two (2) years of software sales experience (SaaS) or Dental industry sales experience, required
  • Knowledge of SMB technology sales
  • The ability to engage with potential and existing customers over the phone and build long term relationships
  • You must be persistent, tenacious, resilient and self-motivated to be successful in this position! This is a hunter-based sales role.
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, listening and presentations are required
  • SaaS software proficiency and ability to properly demonstrate software functionality and benefits via a shared screen, Microsoft Teams environment
  • Previous success attaining and exceeding sales goals and metrics
  • Working knowledge of CRM, preferably, Salesforce and the ability to take detailed notes to ensure nothing falls through the cracks
  • 10 – 15% travel required with overnights
