Responsibilities

Basic Purpose

Supports executive decisions by developing complex financial models and economic analysis related to large capital investments, regulatory filings, and strategic initiatives. Interprets analysis, develops presentations, and presents recommendations to senior management. Conducts special studies and analyses, develops alternatives, presents recommendations to management and influences management decisions. Ensures compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations. Supports the annual financial planning process and treasury operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Performs financial and economic modeling and evaluation of strategic initiatives, large capital investments, and regulatory filings.

Leads, performs, and oversees analysis and project execution within department initiatives.

Represents the Finance organization on strategic projects by fulfilling project management requirements and presenting analysis and recommendations.

Develops critical decision-making tools formulated in spreadsheets that can evaluate investments in generating assets, transmission assets, ancillary services, and physical and financial commodity markets.

Conducts the analysis and evaluation of potential investments, acquisitions, divestitures, and other activities in accordance with organizational objectives.

Develops and maintains forecasting models that accurately reflect regulatory and company policies, requirements, and guidelines.

Maintains strong professional relationships with a variety of internal and external parties, including consultants, rating agencies, portfolio managers, investors, and other external agents.

Understands drivers to credit ratings and the calculation of various credit metrics to assist with the 10 Year Plan process. Understands and complies with all policies, codes and regulations applicable to position and company.

Ensures all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes, and regulations applicable to position and company.

Performs related duties as assigned

Requirements

Essential Education, Skills, and Environment

Education and Work Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school in finance, accounting, economics, or related field and 6 years of related work experience.

Candidates that do not possess a bachelor’s degree must have a minimum of 10 years of related work experience.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills

Demonstrated knowledge of:

  • Financial reporting

Demonstrated skills such as:

  • Presentation, analytical, time-management, human relations, organizational, interpersonal and communication.
  • Maintains sensitive and confidential information regarding company information.

Equipment and Applications
PCs, word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
General office environment. No special physical demands required.

Compensation

Annual Salary: $100,700 (Min) to $118,400 (Mid); Up to 15% Short Term Incentive Plan target opportunity at the discretion of the company. This is a non-represented position.
