Job Description:

Key Activities and Responsibilities:


  • Educate and train customers and dealers on a Truvac product, the applications, operation, and features/benefits.  The Sales Representative must be capable of learning to operate all the Truvac products.

  • Act as key liaison between factory and dealers/customer for problem solving, and other issues.

  • Complete Product Certification process and attend quarterly product field training events

  • Establish personal relationships with rental organizations, contractor and municipal customers/end users within region.

  • In conjunction with Product Specialist or independently perform demonstrations and training within assigned region and track personal as well as dealer performed demonstration activity monthly.

  • Provide support and training to dealer as needed.

  • Report win, lost, or pending (opportunities) sales through CRM.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date scheduling of customer visits, trade shows, demonstrations, sales calls and activities in company endorsed CRM software.

  • Provide 30 day and rolling 90 day forecast for new business.

  • Conduct regional sales meetings as needed and participate in national sales meetings as required.

  • Attend and coordinate regional and national trade shows.

  • Recommend product changes as well as new product ideas.

  • Manage discount programs with strong emphasis on validation before authorization.

  • Submission of expense reports on a timely basis.

  • Develop and maintain competitive manufacturers' profiles and update Product Management on activity.

  • Ensure that all business conducted in the region is consistent with the company's mission statement and standard of ethical practices.

  • Recommend potential sales and promotional ideas to the Marketing Department.

  • Assist Finance Department on issues of credit and collections as required.

  • Assure timely follow up on company provided sales leads and ensure that status is updated into designated CRM program.

  • Perform other duties, assignments, and special projects as assigned. Motivate dealer sales force creating a positive selling attitude toward the company's products.

  • Attend and provide presentation assistance on product demos.

  • Attain and maintain sales certification for primary products/brands.

  • Train dealer personnel on selling of company's products as well as sales related policies and procedures.

  • Establish personal relationships with major and fleet customers/end users within Region.

  • Encourage 100% dealer participation in ESG sponsored events including but not limited to: sales training, meetings, new product launches, etc.

  • Conduct regional sales meetings as needed and participate in national sales meetings as required.

  • Guide and direct field sales activity in Area of Primary Sales Responsibility (APSR).

Education Required:

HS Diploma Required; Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred

Experience Required:


  • Minimum 2 years construction industry experience.

  • Proven mechanical aptitude and ability to demonstrate understanding of mechanical products.

  • Possesses or has ability to obtain Commercial Driver's License.

  • Good communication skills, a high degree of initiative, enthusiasm and sound decision making skills.

  • Travel 75% - 80% of work time.

  • Successful candidate must live in or be willing to relocate to this sales region.
