This position acts as a primary expert and provides advice and information to others. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:1.General operation of the Admissions and Records Office front desk2.Assisting visitors, students and instructors in a courteous manner; answers phone and email3.Providing information/handle matters within the scope of knowledge and responsibility4.Troubleshooting critical questions, inquires, and directs complaints to the appropriate person or office5.Creates and maintains departmental files in accordance with established guidelines6.Assist students with the admission process7.Assist students with registration activities8.Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Working knowledge of office practice and proceduresWorking knowledge of personal computers and common office software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, OutlookExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational and interpersonal skillsAbility to prioritize duties using sound customer service principlesAbility to interpret policies and proceduresAbility to work independently and as part of a team is essentialAbility to problem solve equipment problems PHYSICAL ABILITIES:The work is sedentary.
