Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine, Division of Infectious Disease


The Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Disease and the Miami Transplant Institute seeks an Assistant Professor to serve as a full-time faculty member at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Individuals must be board certified/board eligible in the subspecialty of Infectious disease, with additional fellowship training in transplant Infectious Disease and have recognized expertise in clinical care, teaching, and research.


The ideal candidate is a highly motivated faculty member interested in a Transplant Infectious Diseases especially for the care of lung and heart transplant recipients.


Duties to include providing direct patient care to adult outpatients in the Miami Transplant Institute faculty practice (including satellite clinics) and adult inpatients at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Also includes coverage of inpatient consult coverage and weekend on-call service. He/she will participate in the educational and training activities of the Infectious Disease Division. Additional desirable skills the ability to communicate in Spanish and/or Creole.
