RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce software client is seeking a Staff Accountant I in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities:

  • In this role, the Staff Accountant I is responsible for all aspects of the month-end close, month-end financial statements, reconciliation of investment activity, quarterly investment valuations and summaries, cash projections, bank reconciliations and accounts payable and receivables for various company entities

  • Preparation of monthly financial statements (Balance Sheet and P&L)

  • Month-end close processes/tasks including preparation of journal entries and bank account reconciliations

  • Coordinate with external accounting firms to ensure timely compliance with tax filings and tax payments

  • Professional attitude

  • Work with various groups on ad hoc projects







REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required; Master's in Accounting and/or CPA a plus but not required

  • 1-2 years of Public or Private experience

  • Communication skills, written and verbal must be exceptional when communicating with Leadership

  • Strong organizational management skills

  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Self-motivated and positive attitude

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel (V-Lookups), Pivot Tables, and Word

  • Software: ERP-Microsoft Dynamics AX, Blackline

  • Manage projects with minimal supervision






The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.



We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
