Job Description:

Regional Engineering Manager
The primary purpose of the Regional Engineering Manager role is to lead a team of Project Engineers to successfully execute capital projects within the Process Engineering Team. They will provide technical leadership for direct reports at multiple sites to ensure successful project execution. Primary focus of the position will be on providing direction on engineering services for the process team, ensuring delivery of assigned objectives within scope, time, and budget while achieving the expected cash flow.

They will provide leadership, coaching and development of their entire team and drive compliance to our engineering processes.

Open to candidate sitting at one of our Mars Wrigley sites. Approximately 20-50% travel requirement depending on project demands

What we are looking for?

Education:

• Bachelors degree in engineering, MBA/PMP certification is a plus

Skills/Experience:

• 5-10 years' experience in a comparable technical position - food, beverage, pharmaceutical or related industry preferable


• Basic understanding of engineering principals - knowledge of engineering disciplines: Process, Packaging, Electrical, Construction or Computer Services


• In-depth understanding of functional engineering area of food processing


• Team skills - high performance team experience


• Good communication, listening and influencing skills


• Critical thinking skills


• Innovative thinking


• Able to work collaboratively with other groups


• Previous People Management experience or indirect

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Foster the functional and effectiveness competence development of direct reports


• Develop and execute projects that meet business objectives, while ensuring compliance to safety, quality, security and environmental standards


• Drive initiatives that shorten new product and cycle times and improve implementation efficiencies as well as operational efficiencies


• Work with R&D and cross functional teams to establish design for manufacturing criteria


• Develop external business relationships including construction contractors and engineering resources


• Proactively develop practices and methodologies that increase the effectiveness and reduces the costs of engineering


• Effectively represent regional engineering function at the site and cell brand level


• Create staffing and management strategy for engineering associates that may be distributed across multiple Mars Wrigley sites


• Lead technology development, value creating solutions within business strategy
