Requirements and Description

Under general supervision, the Transportation Supervisor coordinates and directs the movement of Delta Crew Members/Employees/ and business partners utilizing Commercial Buses. The position will coordinate with the managers and dispatchers by radio and/or company phone to support personnel. Additionally, all supervisors will perform supervisory and administrative activities at their field locations. Supervisors will oversee personnel and ensures that scheduled and special services operate efficiently. Performs safety observations and author reports to ensure compliance with operating standards and provides feedback and refresher coaching to assist staff with problems.

Distinguishing Characteristics

This position will be assigned to the LGA Airport Employee Shuttle Operation to assist the aviation department.

Provides supervision, counseling, and coaching of transit operators to ensure compliance with Rules and Regulations, Standard Operating Procedures, uniform regulation, general appearance, and readiness to work; directly responsible for assigned groups of transit operators, and documents daily activity as required.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Can lead and coach employees under personal supervision.
2. Can train and oversee safety skills and procedures.
3. Know how to Author and Edit an accident/incident/shift report.
4. Have prior experience working in an AOA Ramp environment and know the Port Authority rules and regulations.
5. Able to drive a commercial bus on public road operations.
6. Be able to give disciplinary action when needed.
7. Use basic computer and basic Microsoft Office Skills for report writing.
8. Utilize exceptional customer service skills.
9. Exhibit exceptional radio professionalism.
10. Able to work any schedule 24 hours a day/7 day a week
11. Able to work holidays and weekends when needed.
