Job Description:

The Supply Planning Manager position is to ensure finished products are produced and distributed in an efficient and timely manner thru smooth schedules from the Mill to Assembly. The Supply Planning Manager will supervise/manage the planning group and provide support to new product initiatives. This position will report directly to the Materials Manager.


II.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

*Supervisory responsibilities: supervise planning group, review demand capacities, support customer demand and monitor inventory control, safety stocks analysis.

*Support new product projects and update Planning Parameters on system based on Supply Planning logics in ERP.

*Review Supply Plan is met on time, review root causes and provide recovery plans if needed

* Run the daily ship short meeting with Production, Materials, Distribution Center and Mill.

*Issue and review reports to help monitor booked sales vs. F/C demand. Update forecasts and issue to Suppliers.

*Host the following weekly meetings and provide updates as needed: Capacity Production meeting, My touchpoint meeting and the Daily Shortage meeting.

*Participate weekly in the following meetings and provide updates as needed: New Product demand, forecast meeting, NPI (New Product Introduction).

*Provide ad hoc analysis in support of other functional areas.

*Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Operations and Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for all reports.

* Identify areas of improvements and recommend action plans.

* Monitor and recommend production batch optimization.

* Schedule monthly Balance Scorecards review meetings.

* Schedule weekly Purchasing/Sister Plants collaboration calls.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is required

APICS – CPIM Certification will be a plus.


Experience:

5 years of experience in production planning, product procurement, logistics planning with an emphasis on imports or manufacturing operations, Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing sales and forecast tables and databases with an understanding of their purpose.

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.


Skills:

Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, pivot tables, formulas)

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Must have knowledge of MRP & ERP environment, Oracle ERP Cloud-Fusion or other software related is preferred.

Have strong analytical and critical thinking skills and a broad understanding of supply chain functions.
