We are hiring for a contingent night shift LPN (6pm-6:30am).

Duties to be performed shall include, but not be limited to the following:
Monitor admissions paperwork
Initiate resident service plan for admissions/re-admissions
Perform daily rounds to ensure that devices/alarms are in place and to ensure quality of care
Monitor shower list
Monitor weights and inform dietary of weight loss/gain concerns
Assist with call lights
Monitor dining room as needed
Communicate changes in resident status
Supervise Personal Service Attendants and oversee on-floor training
Dispense medications
Perform treatments as ordered by physicians
Assists as necessary emergency calls from Woodpointe Residential Living when necessary
Teach new procedures and techniques to staff
Maintain a positive attitude and cooperate with other departments
Perform other duties as assigned

Able to read, write and speak English. Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors and the general public. Willing to work beyond normal working hours and in other positions temporarily, as needed. Patient, tactful, cheerful and enthusiastic, as well as willing to handle residents with sensitivity to their cognitive abilities. Ability to seek out new methods and best practices and willing to implement them.
SPECIAL FEATURES/REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION
Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Must hold a current and unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Michigan.
EXPERIENCE
RN/LPN with a minimum of one year experience, unless prior relevant experience with WHRC. A minimum of one year working with the geriatric population is preferred.
