What's the role?

As a MARCOM specialist , you get to work with an astonishing team that plays a vital role marketing communication . The Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for the development, coordination and implementation of the USA Downstream Marketing Communications programs and campaigns to promote the sale of Carl Zeiss Meditec products and services in the USA. Programs are developed and implemented to assist in achieving USA sales targets and attaining USA marketing objectives as identified by Executive management, Marketing and Sales management and the overall USA marketing plan. Programs include USA product launch activities and integrated campaigns comprised of advertising, media, literature, direct mail, digital communications and trade show activities. Accountable to produce projects within the overall USA marketing budget. Works with agencies and vendors in the creation of sales aids and direct marketing, and the development and implementation of advertising programs and campaigns. Coordinates media placements as per media schedules.

• Collaborates with the USA Marketing department, USA MarCom Manager and Sr. Specialists, advertising agencies and media companies to develop and implement USA sales promotional campaigns and sales support tools and to implement global FoB communications, messaging and product campaigns in the USA market.

• Leverages traditional and digital marketing, trade show participation and direct marketing to develop and execute effective USA sales promotional programs.

• Coordinate and implement marketing communications activities supporting the USA business with responsibility for results in terms of cost, timelines, methods, and performance.

• Work closely with USA Marketing Managers to establish marketing communications objectives. Plan and implement tactics with responsibility to managing expenses to budget, meeting timelines and deadlines, and measuring effectiveness of programs.

• Responsible for coordination of USA marketing communications activities including budget/expenses tracking, agency/vendor coordination, and managing projects to schedule.

• Negotiate competitive project bids and coordinate work with agencies and vendors.

Do you qualify?


  • BS degree, preferably Marketing or Communications, preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years Marketing/Marketing Communications experience required. Medical device marketing communications experience preferred.

  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint). Desktop publishing a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to manage up and across the organization. Must be a team player.

  • Excellent organizational skills and able to multi-task under pressure. Must be able to prioritize and handle a variety of projects simultaneously.

  • Must be able to work independently and take initiative in problem solving and decision-making.

SPECIAL DEMANDS:


  • Travel may be required to photo / video shoots and exhibitions and events in the USA, approximately 1-5 times per year.

  • Evening / nights / weekends may be required in support project and campaign deadlines and in support of exhibitions and events.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear, and use hands to handle objects. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee may occasionally lift and /or move up to 15 pounds.

The hourly pay range for this position is $38.00 -$47.00 .

The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.
