Overview
The Systems Administrator II will work to support the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) providing IT core management components and service areas, including cross-cutting services that support the government through system design, development, fielding, and sustainment of global NOAA IT needs.
The System Administrator II must be able to support the following responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate meetings for the NCEP office director.
Gather inputs for reports from all of the NCEP center representatives.
Publish and distribute the NCEP monthly center reports.
Render assistance in documentation for domestic and foreign travel orders.
Publish and distribute the NCEP Newsflash.
Publish the NCEP weekly reports and the NCEP Newsflash.
Deliver on-site support to the NCO property manager.
Assist the Government in preparing PO documentation.
Maintain and update the log of IT infrastructure expenditures.
Maintain and update office supplies inventory log.
Clean storage rooms each month.
Assist Government Administrative Officer with administrative tasks.
Man the NHC director's front desk, greet visitors and answer incoming calls.
Assist Government staff with planning and scheduling conferences
Schedule monthly NCWCP Tennant board meetings.
Record and publish meeting notes and outcomes.
Plan, coordinate, and document tours of the NCWCP facility.
Document all tenant issues in the NCWCP issues log.
Verify that the appropriate NCWCP representative addresses reported tenant issues.
Assist Government staff in developing and delivering the annual building spending plan.
Track and report on the status of all items contained in the building spending plan.
Review, track, and report the status of all GSA RWA packages.
Assist the Government in the administration of vendor service contracts.
Assist the Government in the development/review of SOWs and vendor quotes and proposals related to the NCWCP facility.
Respond to NOAA data calls regarding facility operations and maintenance plans.
Update the NWS Government Performance and Results Act database.
Update the student intern database.
Responsibilities
A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, 2 of which must be in a supervisory role
At least 2 years of administrative support experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
Experience with Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Motivated and flexible attitude with a strong ability to multi-task
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Demonstrated ability to learn new technical skills
Eligibility/Clearance Requirements: Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident and be able to pass a background investigation to obtain a security badge to enter the applicable government facility
