Job Description:

The Leak Detection Supervisor at Enterprise Products will be responsible for maintaining Enterprise assets mainly using Liquid Management Suite (LMS) application residing within DNA 7.5 SCADA system. Also, help in perform project reviews, attending regulatory audits representing leak detection, and support leak detection annual reviews. You'll lead a highly skilled team whose work will ensure our leak detection program is maintained and our pipeline operations are successful. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Support Leak Detection Engineers and Specialists in executing the implementation of computational pipeline monitoring (CPM) and other Leak Detection Program (LDP) initiatives.
  • Monitors staff and project workloads and assists in technical decision making.
  • Provides support to pipeline control and maintain the 24/7 on-call support.
  • Monitors alarm rates of all CPM applications and assigns resources as necessary to investigate elevated alarm rates ("Bad Actor" false alarms).
  • Supports technical problem solving for the LDP and specific CPM applications.
  • Responsible for CPM performance evaluations for all reportable releases.
Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Petroleum Engineering is preferred.
  • Prior experience and knowledge of leak detection technologies.
  • Midstream oil and gas experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate to all levels of management.
  • Ability to work in a team or individually.
  • Required to analyze problems, develop effective solutions and see task through to completion.
  • Ability to handle multiple ongoing assignments.
  • Proficiency with the following is preferred: DNV - Synergi Pipeline Simulator (SPS) Statefinder / Leakfinder Liquids. AVEVA - Liquid Management Suite (LMS). Atmos International - Atmos Pipe and Atmos Rupture. Microsoft - Excel, Outlook, and Word and Google - Earth
  • Familiarity with the following is preferred: Microsoft - Visual Basic for Applications (VBA). SQL Database. Microsoft - SharePoint. Microsoft - Access or any other relational database
  • Travel required is 10% or less.
