TITLE: OPS Administrative Assistant



SECTION: Student Services



HIRING SALARY: $15.00 per hour



HOURS: 25 hours per week

MAJOR FUNCTION: The OPS Staff Assistant supports the Department of Student Services by providing polite and professional assistance via phone, mail, and e-mail, generally being a helpful and positive presence in the workplace and understanding the importance of remaining confidential and working accurately. This will also require providing assistance to Counseling and Disabilities Services by assisting parents, advocates, and other constituents regarding services. Participates in meetings and assist with other duties as assigned.




MINIMUM TRAINING/EXPERIENCE: OPS positions require at least a High School Diploma or GED with appropriate experience.




SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS WILL DEMONSTRATE THE FOLLOWING: Proven ability to learn how to use new software; Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, Word, and email; Strong organizational skills; Strong customer service skills; Ability to manage files and records, and design forms; Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; Ability to handle confidential information.
