Serve as an integral member of a team that provides academic advising, orientation, and support to undergraduate students. Assist in providing direction to students regarding academic programs. The Inclusion Leadership Coordinator will be responsible for advising 20-30 sophomore college students academically. Also, responsible for the retention of these students. This position will implement and provide structure for the mentor/mentee relationship for the high school and college students as part of the Inclusion Leadership Program. The recruitment of 20-30 high school students to Oklahoma State University. Additional outreach to recruit high school students to college and retain college students toward graduation is also required. Fosters corporate sponsor relationship. Maintains relationships with corporate sponsors via newsletters, annual reports, site visits, and electronic communications. Successful performance evaluation will be based partly on the program's success and continued corporate sponsorship. Coordinates work of student recruitment team in partnership with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Assists Enrollment Management and Undergraduate Admissions staff in identifying and implementing "Best Practices" for recruiting and retaining underrepresented students at OSU. Assists Undergraduate Admissions in preparation for approximately seven on-campus recruiting events each semester. Serves on a committee to address student recruitment strategies. Collaborates with the Office of Scholar Development to identify and prepare underrepresented students for undergraduate research and scholar award consideration. Develops and helps distribute materials, in partnership with Enrollment Management, focused on the work of the Division of Institutional Diversity, particularly the Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA), and other marketing materials directed at underrepresented students. Conducts monthly seminars and other sessions, on and off-campus, as needed through the Office of Institutional Diversity. Offers monthly brown bag luncheon forums designed to discuss and develop strategies to address issues of diversity and inclusion at OSU. Provides linkage with the RISE Program. In addition, they will collaborate with other approved internal and external departments and organizations. Performs other duties as assigned.


Work schedule may extend beyond regular office hours of 8 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday, as needed to complete assignments. Some weekend work is required.


Travel is required in performance of this position.


Incumbent must possess the ability to drive 15 passenger vans.

MinimumQualifications:

Bachelor's Degree


Zero - two years of experience in arelated setting.


Valid Driver's license


Excellent written and oralcommunication, public speaking, teaching/training skills are required. 


Strong organizational skills combined withthe ability to multitask and work as a member of a team in a fast-pacedenvironment is required. Must be willing to use current technology tocommunicate. 


Ability to drive 15passenger vans.



Preferred Qualifications:


Master's Degree


Two or more years of related workexperience, including career advisement.  Successful experiences working with diverse populations andfirst-generation students. Should possess experience in developing leaders.


Ability to speak Spanish
