Set up, develop, and operate complex machining processes for components to support the assembly of flight.
Impact the transformation of manufacturing and operational processes within the organization.
Collaborate closely with area leadership and Engineering, Implement, document, refine, and standardize new manufacturing processes, continuously striving to enhance process efficiency, hardware quality, and overall work area effectiveness.
Engage directly with partners as part of specific programs.
Qualifications:
Manufacturing experience in the aerospace sector
Experience with multi-axis lathes and high-speed 5-axis mills producing complex parts with tight tolerances
Experience working with hardened metals
Proficiency in interpreting engineering models, drawings, specifications, and written work instructions
Extensive experience with one or more CNC controls: Mazak, Okuma, Fanuc, Heidenhain, Siemens, or similar
Strong blueprint reading skills, including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment with shifting roles and responsibilities
Basic computer skills (Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach
Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and geographical locations
Continuous improvement mindset and strong organizational skills
Willingness to work off-shifts, extended hours, overtime, and weekends as required
U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or lawful admission into the U.S
Experience in the development and production of impellers and other machine components using multi-axis machining, turning, and/or grinding centers.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with turbo machine components made from nickel-based stainless-steel alloys, copper, or titanium
Proficiency in tooling and fixture design
Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight-critical hardware
