Bring your previous Deli Management experience to a new level at our Uncle Giuseppe's store located in North Babylon. We are seeking an experienced FT Deli Manager to join our growing team!

Our Deli Managers are responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the entire Deli Department within the store. This individual will manage staff schedules, training, hiring and employee performance.

Responsibilities
Manage daily operations of the Deli Department including interviewing, hiring, and training staff Supervise employees in various duties such as cutting, serving, packaging and other customer service counter functions Manage product storage, maintenance and rotation activities to avoid any damages or spoilages Schedule and assign work for associates on daily basis Provide training to staff on company policies and sales guidelines Respond to queries and complaints from both customers and employees Ensure that products are properly labeled with prices and dates Monitor and maintain stock inventory levels to avoid over and under stock problems Interact politely with clients while solving problems related to sales, dissatisfied service and issues regarding store operation Operate all food preparation machines and equipment Receive, unload and stock the food items Ensure that facility is maintained neat, clean and safe Other duties and functions as assigned

Requirements
HS Diploma or equivalent A minimum of 5 years of exp working in a Deli as a Deli Assistant Manager/Manager. Must have in depth knowledge of deli meat cutting, salad making and customer service counter interaction Excellent oral and written communication skills are required

Working Conditions
Most of the time is spent moving about continuously on hard surfaces. There may be a need to frequently position oneself to examine and/or scan merchandise, including bending, climbing, crawling, handling, pulling, reaching, and stooping.May require lifting objects up to 30 pounds. May require lifting and moving heavy and/or awkward objects more than 30 pounds with assistance.Usually in a comfortable indoor environment surrounded by moving machinery and/or loud equipment that may require shouting in order to be heard. There could be exposure to temperature extremes from freezers, ovens, and/or coolers.There may be occasional exposure to cleaning agents, sharp objects/industrial equipment necessary to perform job duties and functions.
