Job Description:

Leidos QTC Health Services is hiring a Systems Administrator. The Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting existing and future IT infrastructure in the areas of systems, network, storage, security, and virtual technology for Leidos QTC Health Services. This position also functions as the primary escalation liaison between Infrastructure and other IT teams. 

*Remote candidates will be considered for this role for candidates who are able to work PST hours.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitor IT Server and Network performance systems


• Provide day-to-day operational support for IT Infrastructure areas


• Serve as the initial point of contact for Tier 3 escalated incidents and escalate as required 


• Support, plan, and implement changes to infrastructure with the goal of enhancing performance


• Document and submit QTC Production Changes as necessary to support company initiatives


• Develop new and maintain existing documentation for Infrastructure designs, as well as on-going operational and administrative procedures


• Work closely with IT Infrastructure engineers to implement IT infrastructure solutions and ensure established process and policies to monitor and maintain day to day operations 


• Conduct research as required for new infrastructure technologies, and help develop best practices and patterns to aid in the adoption of new technologies that are appropriate to the company's requirements


• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned


• This job may require after hours on an as needed basis

Education and/or Experience: (includes certificate & licenses) 

• Bachelor degree in computer science, business administration, related field, or possess equivalent work experience


• 5+ years of IT Support or System Administration experience


• Either active certification or acquire one of the following certifications within 6 months of employment: A+ CE, CND, SSCP, CYSA+, Security+ CE


• Knowledge of IT monitoring solutions such as PRTG, Splunk, Dynatrace, ServiceNow


• Knowledge of Servers Operating systems (Windows Server 2012 / 2019, VMware vSphere)


• Knowledge of basic networking skills (Cisco, Aruba)


• Working knowledge of ITIL Foundation. An ITIL certificate is not mandatory, but it is preferred.


• Must be able to successfully pass National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation

Pay and Benefits: 

Salary range:  $90,000 - $115,000
