Responsibilities: As a Case Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals and families affected by domestic violence. Your duties will include: 


Case Management Process: 



  • Connect with customers throughout the life of their case, ensuring access to necessary services.

  • Collaborate with Family Violence Intervention (FVI) partners.

  • Develop training programs for child support, court, and domestic violence staff.

  • Create public education and victim/survivor outreach initiatives.

  • Implement responsive good cause protections for victims/survivors subject to child support cooperation requirements.

  • Modify application, intake, establishment, and case management processes for parents impacted by domestic violence.

  • Performs the initial assessment and reassessment of consumers.

  • Monitors the delivery of services and evaluates consumer outcomes per established policy.

  • Orient and educate consumers.

  • Maintain records documenting activity and performance of delivery services.

  • Serves as the liaison between the program and other agencies.

  • Prepares various written reports.

  • Updates policies, procedures, and standards to ensure accuracy.

  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position. 


Collaboration and Leadership:



  • Manage partnerships, including the DHS Domestic Violence Council. 

  • Guide the SAVES Demonstration Advisory Council.

  • Establish specialized domestic violence triage teams.

  • Provide child support case consultation and interpretation of laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Offer casework services at all levels of difficulty and complexity.

  • Maintain accurate records of service delivery performance.

  • Leads a group of case managers. Trains, delegates tasks, and provides input regarding case manager performance appraisals.

  • Serve as a liaison between the program and other agencies.

  • Coordinate the opening of additional service sites.

  • Update policies, procedures, and standards to ensure accuracy.


This position requires a background check that involves a national search and fingerprint search to be eligible for employment. Results of the completed background check will be provided to the funding sponsor for their records.


Travel:  Travel to out of state and in state conferences and trainings

Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or other Health or Human Services, AND



  • 24 months experience in case management


Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept an Associate's Degree in Nursing in lieu of the Bachelor's degree.

  • Knowledge of trends and developments in the area of domestic violence

  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a timely manner.

  • Ability to manage and lead projects

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. 

  • Commitment to serving vulnerable populations. 

  • Knowledge of child support laws and regulations is a plus.

  • DHS Child Support or Child Welfare with Domestic Violence experience
