  • We are now recruiting Offshore Logistics Technicians.


  • As an Offshore Logistics Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of offshore projects by efficiently managing logistics and inventory processes. This position requires a combination of logistical expertise, technical knowledge, and hands-on capabilities, with proficiency in SAP and forklift operation.


  • SGRE is based in Orlando, USA, you can however be deployed to projects worldwide including (EU and APAC). The role will provide you with lots of variety, learning and development opportunities along with an exceptional team culture. You will follow a shift pattern therefore a flexible approach to travel and working away from home on a continuing basis is essential. We offer a competitive basic salary, generous holiday allowance, bonus scheme, and contributory pension.

Responsibilities



  • Plan and coordinate logistics for tools, PPE, lifting equipment, and materials required for Offshore operations.


  • Utilize SAP for processing inbound and outbound goods, conducting regular stock checks, and ensuring accurate representation of stock levels.


  • Monitor delivery times for planned materials and parts, ensuring timely availability and adherence to project schedules.


  • Pack requested tools, parts, and consumables according to project specifications, maintaining accuracy and completeness.


  • Maintain a safe work environment and promote safety awareness among team members.


  • Conduct visual inspections of materials/tools for shipping damage, wear, missing parts, or other unsatisfactory conditions, adhering to quality standards.


  • Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to optimize logistics processes and resolve any issues or challenges.


  • Provide support during pre-assembly activities, including material movements, pick/pack operations, and goods issue of spare parts to wind turbines.


  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to logistics and pre-assembly operations.


  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.



Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:



  • A degree in a technical discipline preferred (logistics, administration, technical electrical/ mechanical or both, equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered).


  • 2-4 years of relevant experience.


  • Solid computer skills. You will also have a high level of IT literacy and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP inventory management software. Using digital technology, communications tools, and/or networks to access, manage, integrate, evaluate, and create information.


  • Experience operating a forklift and familiarity with warehouse equipment and procedures.


  • You will be a strong communicator with proven ability to successfully interact at various levels in an organization and where necessary considering different cultures.


  • Stress-resistant with a great sense of responsibility and a hands-on mentality, both physically and mentally.


  • Background in logistics, administration, or technical fields, with demonstrated experience in planning and executing logistical operations.


  • Ability to work in remote facilities subject to extreme climates and willingness to travel as needed for project deployments.


  • Candidates must be able and willing to frequently travel to within the United States of America, to Canada and occasionally internationally.


  • Demonstrates and applies advanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures for area managed and good knowledge of other areas in the company and how they interact.


  • Demonstrates full understanding and application of management approaches for work direction, motivation, and performance management

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:



  • A degree in a technical discipline preferred (electrical/ mechanical or both, equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.


  • 3+ years of successful experience in a directly related field and at least 2-5 years of experience working in and with teams within a large multinational service organization.



Compensation:



  • The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, Inc., it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $53000 - $79000.
