The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine is searching for full-time faculty members in Lung Transplantation for appointment at any rank. Appointees will have both outpatient and inpatient clinical responsibilities primarily at our Hyde Park campus and at our network and affiliate sites. Clinical responsibilities will include both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities in lung transplantation, and inpatient clinical coverage for the pulmonary consult service. There will also be an opportunity for a leadership role as the Medical Director of Lung Transplantation. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.


Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be BC/BE in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine, and 4) have training in lung transplantation.
