Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
Required: Physical Therapist License in Ohio; 3-5 yrs experience in pediatric physical therapy practice; Experience teaching in a CAPTE-accredited PT program.
Desired: Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy or a related field; Advanced training or credentialing in pediatric physical therapy. Demonstrated ability to (a) create welcoming and inclusive environment for all learners, (b) promote diversity of thought, and (c) promote open-minded exploration

The Doctorate of Physical Therapy program at Ohio State is committed to educating excellent new doctors of physical therapy who will embrace our mission throughout their career, to advance the profession of physical therapy through excellence in education, research and scholarship, leadership, and service. The program values evidenced based practice approaches and creates multiple opportunities for integrated clinical practice experiences throughout the program along with intermediate full time clinical education experiences in the first and second year. Graduates from the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program are equipped to diagnose and manage movement dysfunction as it relates to the restoration, maintenance, and promotion of optimal physical function and the health and well-being of individuals, families, and communities. The program graduate must demonstrate 1) mastery of the profession's theoretical and scientific foundations, 2) the clinical skills required to manage a comprehensive plan of care for their patients, and 3) the professional behaviors necessary to advance the profession and develop as physical therapists. Graduates learn to understand teaching styles and communication. The program promotes collaborative, multi-disciplinary approaches for optimal patient care, and a commitment to promoting health across diverse demographics.
