Job Summary:



The Assistant Vice President of Investment Accounting and Reporting will be responsible for the oversight of a variety of month-end activities including review of reconciliations, managing the audit process, managing the closing process for the data warehouse and other tasks that are assigned. This role reports to the Vice President, Investment Accounting and Reporting.



Responsibilities:



  • Review of monthly reconciliations


  • Managing the internal and external audits


  • Managing the closing process for the data warehouse monthly


  • Review of Quarterly and Annual Statements


  • Overseeing the NAIC ratings process


  • Completing various tasks and ad hoc requests





Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in investment accounting or finance; CPA and/or CFA is a plus.


  • Minimum 8+ years investment operations experience, preferably in the financial services or insurance industry.


  • Working knowledge of an investment accounting system such as CAMRA or PAM application is preferred.


  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills, and ability to clearly articulate complex information to others.


  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.


  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems and issues within and related to operational activities, and ability to meet strict deadlines and multi-task are a must.


  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office and PC applications.


  • Team oriented individual with ability to work well with diverse groups in multiple locations
