The University of Chicago's Department of Radiology is expanding and searching for full-time faculty members at any rank. Appointees will have responsibilities in all aspects of abdominal imaging including interpretation of CT, MRI, US, performance of abdomen/pelvis fluoroscopy and image guided biopsies.


As full-time faculty members, the appointees will contribute to patient care, medical education, and scholarship, and join a vibrant and distinguished community of faculty colleagues and learners at UChicago Medicine, the Biological Sciences Division, the Pritzker School of Medicine, the University of Chicago and its affiliates. The appointees also participate in a variety of interdisciplinary conferences, in order to build collaborative relationships across campus. Other duties will include training and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows. There are numerous opportunities for collaboration available within the University and with community partners. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.


The Department of Radiology includes more than 80 full-time faculty members, clinical associates, and postdoctoral researchers. In addition to teaching medical students, residents and fellows, our faculty conduct cutting-edge translational and clinical research. Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be Board certified or eligible in Radiology, and 4) have completed a Fellowship in Abdominal Imaging or have equivalent experience.
