FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The SEEK Department at City College is a state-funded educational opportunity program for students who meet specific academic and income criteria. SEEK at CCNY was established in 1965 as a pre- baccalaureate program and served as a model program for other SEEK, EOP, and HEOP programs. The mission of the SEEK program is to provide access to higher education for capable students who might not be able to attend college otherwise due to their educational or financial circumstances. Our program efforts are rooted in a social justice framework and are intended to increase the level of education, social capital, and workforce expertise of our students.
We are looking for two individuals experienced in counseling for faculty positions at the Assistant Professor rank. The successful candidates must be able to provide a range of student support services, including personal, academic, and career counseling to a multiculturally diverse population of students. We are looking for individuals who want to collaborate with a dynamic staff within a team-oriented and student-centered approach.

A Doctoral degree in Psychology to include Ph.D. and Psy.D. programs
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
License in Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or Social Work is highly preferred.

COMPENSATION
$64,649 to $70,238, commensurate with education and experience

BENEFITS

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Health Plan Coverage for Employees Hired on or after October 1, 2022 City of New York employees and employees of Participating Employers and their eligible dependents hired on or after October 1, 2022 will only be eligible to enroll in the EmblemHealth HIP HMO Preferred Plan and must remain in the HIP HMO Preferred Plan for the first year (365 days) of employment.
After 365 days of employment, the employee will have the option of either remaining in the HIP HMO Preferred Plan or selecting a different health plan within 30 days before the end of the 365th day period.
If a new health plan is selected, the new plan will be effective on the 366th day.
Only after the 365th day can the employee participate in any Annual Fall Transfer Period. An employee who needs to request an exemption from the required enrollment in the HIP HMO Preferred Plan can do so by submitting a HIP HMO Opt-Out Request Form to EmblemHealth. An employee, or eligible dependent, must meet certain criteria and the request must be approved by EmblemHealth before the exemption is granted. The HIP HMO Opt-Out Request Form and HIP service area are available on the EmblemHealth website.
