Operation Identification, a program that operates within the
Forensic Anthropology Center at Texas State University is seeking a full-time postdoctoral scholar for a position in humanitarian forensic anthropology for one year, renewable for two additional years pending job performance.
The successful candidate will be tasked with forensic anthropology casework predominately representing presumed deceased migrants and include processing human remains and personal effects, overall case management, supervising exhumations of unidentified human remains, supervising NamUs data entry, DNA sample collection and submission to CODIS and private laboratories, working with governmental and nongovernmental organizations, and community outreach. The position is subject to the availability of funds.
