Advertised Job Summary:

A Recruitment Coordinator is sought to work closely with the Multiple Principal Investigators (MPIs), Project Coordinator, and other members of the study team to identify and help to enroll eligible participants for an NIH-funded study on Early-Onset Colorectal Cancer and inflammation. The study involves recruitment and retention of human subjects; collection of body measurements and biospecimens (e.g., blood); collecting self-reports of diet, other lifestyle behaviors, and sociodemographic information; and actigraphy for monitoring physical activity and sleep. In addition to excellent administrative and interpersonal communication skills, the position requires an understanding of regulatory requirements for protection of human subjects in research, experience with recordkeeping, scheduling, report preparation and related research activities.


Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree required. Willingness and availability to work non-traditional hours, including evening and weekends as needed.


Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and a background in public health, clinical medicine or nursing, or social science. Experience with maintaining study participant engagement and retention. Experience with recruitment for randomized controlled trials and other research studies.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Ability to multitask and manage priorities to meet deadlines. Ability to anticipate problems and be proactive in seeking their solutions. Ability to maintain high levels of organization and attention to detail. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others, including community members. Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally. Experience in collaborating with individuals representing a wide range of backgrounds, including research scientists, administrators, clinicians and clinical staff, service providers and contractors, university students, and study participants of diverse backgrounds. Good working knowledge of one or more database management software packages.
