Job Description Summary:
•The Consumer FP&A Manager will lead financial planning and reporting processes across the Consumer BU consolidating information across the different products. •This is a broad role in scope, entailing weekly/monthly financial reporting for full P&L covering revenue, transaction margin and opex. •This role will also work closely with the finance POCs supporting Consumer BU products to understand overall drivers and manage risks and opportunities across the portfolio. •PayPal is searching for a Finance Manager for our Consumer Finance Org. •This position will support our Consumer Product org and support the business leaders responsible for our consumer products including PayPal, Venmo, and Shopping as well as broader "consumer" view. •The team is based in US with folks in Los Angeles, San Jose, NY and Chicago. •This role will be part of a 3 person central Consumer FP&A team closely connected to the larger Consumer Finance org supporting our BU Leaders (PayPal, Venmo etc.) as well as Marketing and Corp Affairs.
Job Description:
We are searching for a strong finance / FP&A professional to join and support the Consumer Organization within PayPal. You can make an impact by providing insight into business performance and financial results through timely analysis of trends, KPIs working closely with business partners, analytics, and accounting.
Own financial reporting and tracking of overall Consumer BU outlook vs targets by bringing summary of variances and key drivers.
Reporting of monthly/weekly performance to Senior Leadership and collaborate/contribute to monthly operating reviews of the business
Review and communicate performance against defined targets. Regularly perform variance and sensitivity analyses on (weekly/monthly) revenue performance for Consumer BU.
Work closely with cross functional partners, namely the finance POCs supporting the various Consumer BU products across P2P, Venmo, Remittances, Credit and Financial services products.
Develop a deep understanding of PayPal's business across different PayPal's products & regions while working with key stakeholders to communicate latest outlook.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; MBA/Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field a bonus
Advanced Proficiency with MS Office specifically with Excel and PowerPoint
5 - 7 years progressive experience in financial planning/analytics/strategic finance roles
Detail-oriented, highly analytical individual who strives for excellence and wants to be part of a great team.
Superior relationship building and organizational influence skills in interactions with senior leaders, peers and business partners across organizations and geographies.
Highly comfortable with fast turnaround times and able to glean insights as well as ability to communicate key details to stakeholders and leaders succinctly.
Demonstrated experience in reporting and budget processes in matrixed environments.
Experience in building and challenging financial models.
Communication skills: experience distilling complex financial analyses and preparing powerful presentations with a crisp and clear storyline.
High energy and a true desire to understand the drivers of the business.
Excellent English proficiency.
