Job Title: Quality Analyst - Insurance Compliance Reporting

Location: NJ/PA/DE (Whitehouse Station/Jersey City/Philadelphia/Wilmington)

Role Overview:

Chubb is seeking a self-motivated and experienced Quality Analyst to support the ongoing testing of software for an Insurance Compliance Reporting Product. The Quality Analyst will collaborate with onshore and offshore resources within an Agile development model, ensuring the highest level of quality and functionality of the software. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to work in a globally distributed team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with onshore and offshore resources to develop and execute testing strategies, plans, and test cases for insurance compliance reporting software.
  • Conduct various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, smoke testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and performance testing, as necessary.
  • Identify, log, track, and manage software defects using bug tracking tools, ensuring timely resolution and closure of issues.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand software requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Contribute to the improvement of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes, including test planning, test case development, execution, and defect management.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gain a thorough understanding of the software and provide input on potential areas of improvement.
  • Utilize test automation tools and frameworks to streamline testing processes and increase efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other team members to define and implement quality assurance standards and best practices.
  • Provide timely and accurate status reports and updates regarding testing progress and results to project stakeholders.
  • Continuously stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in software testing and contribute to the adoption of new tools and techniques.

  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
    • Proven experience in software testing, preferably in the insurance industry or related field.
    • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies, particularly within Agile development models.
    • Experience working with onshore and offshore resources and the ability to collaborate with globally distributed teams.
    • Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks, and the ability to develop and maintain automated test scripts.
    • Familiarity with various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, smoke testing, UAT, and performance testing.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
    • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and tools as required.

    In Jersey City, NJ the pay range for the role is $65,500 to $108,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. This range is specific to Jersey City, NJ and may not be applicable to other locations.
