Wood is currently recruiting for a Piping Engineering Designer III for an CADWorx 3D Onshore Projects in our Corpus Christi, TX Office Onshore Service Line.
Local candidates preferred as there is no relocation assistance or per diem. Authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Should have comprehensive understanding of theories and principles of the discipline and the design concepts and studies of professional team members. Functions in a primary design or design lead role with overall responsibility for discipline execution, maintaining budget, schedule and adherence to the discipline project scope of work.
Need CADWorx 3D software experience to do
Equipment modeling
Piping design modeling
Pipe support modeling
Pipe routing for Onshore facilities using Laser Scan data in design when necessary
Area lead ability a plus
Assist lead and take lead role on multiple small projects
Attend project meetings and provide support to a project in all aspects of piping design and layout
Assign specific design tasks to discipline design team
Monitor production levels and perform checking activities
Accountable for delivery, production levels, consistency and overall quality of work.
Able to do site visits as needed on a regular basis
Working knowledge of applicable codes and regulations
Complete understanding of proper drawing organization and production
Prepares Bill of Materials
Act as checker on piping design related deliverables.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 10 years of experience piping design
Proficient with CADWorx 3D modeling software
Proficient using Laser Scan data in design
High level of awareness and commitment to safety in all aspects of daily work
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Highly motivated and demonstrates personal initiative.
Possesses integrity, strong work ethic, positive attitude, and is dependable
Accountable for results
Adaptable and flexible to the changing needs of projects
Team player that works well with supervisors, subordinates, peers and clients
Up to date TWIC card and Basic Plus Refresher is a plus
