TransCore (TRN), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking an Associate Systems Specialist Intern to join our team.
Job Summary: This internship position (available for a maximum of 90 days) will support our projects in Texas and Kansas and will be based in Nashville, TN.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Database Queries: Assist with creating database queries for monitoring system jobs and processes.
Analytics: Develop dashboards for system performance and system anomalies
Analyzing requirements: work with stakeholders to identify needs, and then analyze those requirements to determine how best to meet them.
Production Issues: Assist with debugging production system issues and running scripts to fix these issues.
To be successful in this role, a Systems Intern must have strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well with others. They must also have a deep understanding of information technology, including programming languages, database systems, and network architecture.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education: Currently enrolled for at least two years in a STEM, education, or business degree program (CS, EE, CE, data analytics, education, business administration, entrepreneurial studies, etc.)
Required Skills & Experience:
Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook)
Excellent communication skills
Desired Skills & Experience (any of these will be helpful, but are not a requirement):
Any familiarity with data review, analysis, testing, or quality assurance
