The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supervising staff and activity in assigned inventory storage locations, shipping and receiving areas, and ensuring that warehouse activities are consistently performed to meet internal and external requirements.
Primary Tasks:
Managing departmental operations in warehousing
Supervising employees
Providing training to employees in the following areas: Work instructions, Equipment operation, and Safety
Overseeing data collection for performance measurement, as directed
Reviewing and acting based on performance
Monitoring compliance with internal and external requirements
Reviewing and updating processes and work instructions
Assigning responsibility and ensuring successful performance of the following tasks related to the completion of inbound shipments: Scheduling inbound shipments, as needed, and unloading shipments from carriers
Inspecting materials received
Reporting on discrepancies and quarantining materials as necessary
Counting and recording inventory received
Receiving inventory into warehouse management system
Putting away received inventory
Completing documentation and reports for inbound shipments, as needed
Assigning responsibility and ensuring successful performance of the following tasks related to the completion of outbound shipments: Scheduling outbound shipments, as needed and picking inventory
Packaging and labeling materials for shipment
Inspecting materials to be shipped
Reporting on discrepancies and quarantining materials as necessary
Loading and transferring shipments to carriers
Completing shipments in warehouse management system, as needed
Completing documentation and reports for outbound shipments, as needed
Assigning responsibility and ensuring successful completion of cycle counts
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Skills:
Flexibility in daily hours worked based on workloads
On-call accessibility
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time

Minimum three years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
