Description

Mayvin is seeking a Network Engineer / Cyber Security – Principal to support USSOCOM on Ft. Liberty. You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and efficient network infrastructure while also performing cyber security functions.

Clearance Required: Top Secret

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain secure network architectures, including routers, switches, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), encryption techniques, penetration testing tools, security information and event management (SIEM) systems, and endpoint security solutions
• Conduct regular network security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security policies and standards
• Monitor network traffic for anomalies and potential security breaches and respond to incidents in a timely manner
• Implement and manage network security measures such as access controls, encryption, and authentication protocols
• Collaborate with cyber security teams to develop and implement incident response plans and procedures
• Provide network administration support, including troubleshooting network issues, configuring network devices, and optimizing network performance
• Keep abreast of the latest cyber security threats, trends, and technologies to proactively enhance the organization's security posture
• Document network configurations, security policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and facilitate knowledge transfer
• Familiarity with cyber security frameworks and standards such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, and PCI DSS

Required Qualifications:

• You must be a U.S. Citizen

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field

• Minimum 14 years’ experience as a Network Engineer or similar role

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science

• CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
