Reports to: Associate Vice President for Marketing and Communications
Summary: The University of Lynchburg Marketing and Communications Department is seeking a dynamic and experienced Client Success and Operations Manager to spearhead internal and external workflows, manage client relationships, and ensure the smooth execution of projects. This individual will play a pivotal role in maintaining clear communication among stakeholders, managing expectations, and overseeing project completion. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of project management expertise, client relationship management skills, copywriting proficiency, and a deep understanding of the international student experience. Additionally, fundraising experience and a background in higher education are highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:

    Workflow Management:


    Develop and implement efficient internal and external workflows for marketing and communications projects.
    Oversee project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
    Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to optimize workflow efficiency.


    Client Relationship Management:


    Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining regular communication to understand their needs and objectives.
    Manage client expectations and ensure alignment with project goals.
    Proactively address any issues or concerns raised by clients to maintain strong relationships.


    Project Oversight:


    Manage projects at a macro level, ensuring all components align with the overall marketing strategy and objectives.
    Collaborate with the marketing team to coordinate resources and streamline project execution.
    Assist the Associate Vice President with additional projects as assigned.


    Copywriting:


    Write and edit news articles, magazine features, and other marketing materials as needed.
    Ensure all relevant copy is tailored to international audiences and resonates with the university's brand voice.
    Maintain consistency in messaging across various communication channels.


    Understanding of International Student Experience:


    Leverage deep understanding of the international student experience to inform marketing strategies and communications initiatives.
    Tailor messaging and content to effectively engage international students and address their unique needs and concerns.


    Fundraising Experience:


    Support fundraising efforts by crafting compelling narratives and messaging to attract donors and cultivate donor relationships.
    Collaborate with the development team to align marketing communications with fundraising goals and initiatives.
Qualifications Qualifications:

    Advanced degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
    Proven experience in project management, client relationship management, and operations oversight.
    Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to write for international audiences.
    In-depth understanding of the international student experience and higher education landscape.
    Experience in fundraising and donor relations within a higher education setting is preferred.
    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
    Proficiency in project management tools and software applications.
    Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally and build consensus among stakeholders.


  • High school diploma or equivalent education is preferred.
