Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $44,200 - Midpoint: $55,300 (Salaried E6)



Department/Organization: 200621 - University Registrar



Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm



Job Summary: The Residency Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for all inquiries regarding residency for tuition purposes at The University of Alabama.



Additional Department Summary: The Residency Coordinator is responsible for counseling students and their families regarding state law and University policy about residency for tuition purposes. Additionally, this position is charged with accurately interpreting and applying state law and University policy during the review, analysis, and case resolution of applications for reclassification of residency for tuition purposes.



Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher.



Skills and Knowledge: The ability to interact with a diverse population of students and their families. The ability to convey difficult information with empathy and understanding in high-stress situations. Applicant must demonstrate the use of sound judgment and the ability to remain calm during difficult conversations. Excellent oral communication skills. Ability to read and interpret policies and procedures. Strong organizational skills. Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information with discretion. Ability to think and plan strategically as part of a team. Ability to convey messages clearly with written and oral communication.



Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution. Experience using Banner Student Information System, Banner Self-Service, Argos Enterprise Reporting, and Hyland OnBase.
