Overview


Join us for an 11-week IT Software Application Development Internship with a dynamic, hands-on learning experience! As an intern, you'll assist with conducting business process analysis, creating SharePoint workflows, and performing basic SQL data pulls and reports. It's an immersive journey into the homebuilding industry where you'll learn, grow, and build your future.


Our interns have opportunities to work in real-world scenarios in one or more of the following areas:


  • Software Applications - Full-Stack Engineer

  • Data Analytics & Reporting -Back-end Engineer

  • Process Mapping and Architecture

Primary Duties & Responsibilities




  • Shadows employees within assigned department to learn needed skills for industry.

  • Reviews all policies and procedures within assigned department.

  • May be assigned special projects as needed.

  • Assists with filing and copying as needed.

  • Assists other departments as needed.

Education & Experience


Through our summer internship program, university students gain the confidence to make meaningful work contributions that enable business growth with our products, customers, and internal processes.


  • Must be currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program

  • BS or MS in Computer Science (or related degree, final year students preferred)

Skills & Abilities




  • Strong software engineering skills

  • Solid understanding of object-oriented design and programming languages and database concepts

  • Experience with at least one of the following: C#, Python

  • Web development skills preferred (D/HTML, JavaScript, XML, Flex, CSS)

  • Database skills (T-SQL, Relational model)

  • Familiarity with Machine Learning, LLM's

  • Familiarity or the ability to learn current trends and best practices in front-end architecture, including performance, accessibility and usability

  • Ability to communicate with management and employees.

  • Ability to organize information to avoid missing details.

Technical Knowledge & Experience




  • Ability to use office tools including computer for word processing, email and spreadsheet software.

Physical Requirements




  • May visit construction sites where temperature, weather, and noise may vary.
