Job: Inbound Logistics Coordinator

Shift: Days (12 Hour Shifts)

Location: Mars Petcare (Fort Smith, AR)

Mars Petcare is seeking an Inbound Logistics Coordinator to join our exciting pet food business at a Fort Smith, AR, manufacturing plant. We focus on the unique needs of cats and dogs. The Inbound Logistics Coordinator is the first point of contact for all inbound and outbound shipments. They will be responsible for managing the inbound and outbound traffic operations, SAP and JDA logistical requirements, load tendering, and office administrative responsibilities in the areas of raw goods warehouse, ingredient receiving, and dock door management. Stays in constant communication with affiliate carriers, customer care, and receiving teams to ensure an efficient flow of work and high service levels to customers.

Responsibilities


  • Maintain Appointment Schedule for all inbound orders.

  • Perform various SAP and JDA functions: shipment confirmations, Trailer dispatch, and checking trailers into the system on SAP.

  • JDA use for printing and closing orders.

  • Constant communication with carriers, customer care, and receiving teams to ensure efficient flow of work and high service levels to customers.

  • Request delivery appointments for specific customers.

  • Trailer Pool management

  • Manage the appointment scheduling on inbound and outbound raw materials.

  • Send daily emails with shipping updates to the team.

  • Respond to emails regarding any shipping and receiving questions.

  • Maintain shipping supplies.

  • Updates for invoicing as orders are picked up.

  • Monitor the receiving window, office phone system, and inbound/outbound gates.

  • Support Manager and Leads on all shifts.

Minimum Qualifications


  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • 2 years experience in Shipping Office Management

  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated strength in conflict resolution.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with associates within all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent computer skills with experience in Warehouse Management systems and order processing systems

  • Working understanding of our receiving process and manufacturing process

  • Ability to work with little or no supervision.

  • Ability to Work 12-hour shifts and cover overtime.

Preferred Qualifications


  • 3-4 years of shipping office experience

  • Working knowledge of SAP and/or JDA

  • Ability to tolerate an ambiguous environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with little to no guidance.
