The Cook sets the tone for Sonesta's mission by always going above and beyond for our guests and coworkers. The role's primary responsibility is to prepare and produce food orders according to quality standards. The Cook shall maintain a safe work environment and follow established sanitation and safety standards.
The ideal candidate has a passion for hospitality and providing exceptional guest service.

Job Description


  • Produce all food orders in a timely and consistent manner in accordance with established quality standards. Test food to ensure quality and consistency of all meals served.

  • Operate all kitchen equipment in a safe and responsible manner.

  • Handle and store food items safely and keep work area clean and sanitized. Including all opening and closing duties.

  • Adhere to established safety and sanitation guidelines.

  • Adhere to uniform and grooming standards.

  • Perform other duties or projects as requested by management

Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts

  • Ensure that all food is of high quality and meets our standards

  • Follow recipes and cooking techniques to ensure consistency

  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen

  • Ensure that all equipment is in good working order and report any issues to management

  • Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies

  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure that all orders are prepared and served in a timely manner

  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines:

  • Proven experience as a Cook

  • Excellent culinary skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to follow recipes and cooking techniques

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds

Working Conditions: The Cook will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, standing for extended periods of time and working with hot equipment and sharp knives. The position may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay Range

Pay Range $28-$29. Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors including but not limited to job related knowledge, skills, and job specific experience/overall experience.
