Summary of Role:


As the Director of Device Engineering, you will be a beacon of leadership, guiding our teams toward excellence in device performance and customer satisfaction. You will lead a talented group of engineers, shaping their professional development and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. Working closely with Product Managers, Development Engineers, and other cross-functional teams, you will drive the realization of our technology roadmap and ensure the delivery of competitive solutions to our customers worldwide.



Essential Responsibilities:



Transformational Leadership: Drive a culture of learning and growth within the team, establishing GlobalFoundries as the partner of choice for our customers. Lead by example, embodying our values of collaboration and excellence.



Customer Engagement: Act as a liaison between our customers and internal teams, listening to their needs and translating them into actionable insights. Drive rapid responses to customer requirements, ensuring alignment with our capabilities and fostering long-term partnerships.



Innovation and Roadmap Development: Build and execute a comprehensive technology roadmap outlining our strategic direction for the next 3-5 years. Drive innovation within the team by exploring new technologies and approaches to maintain our competitive edge.



Technical Expertise: Leverage your strong background in device physics and engineering to provide guidance and expertise to the team. Ensure that our products meet performance specifications without compromising reliability or yield.



Operational Excellence: Oversee the timely analysis and reporting of pre-M6 qualification lots, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions as necessary. Partner with integration counterparts to freeze developed processes in preparation for manufacturing.



Team Leadership: Foster a culture of excellence and accountability within the team, recognizing outstanding contributions and providing coaching and mentorship. Develop strong partnerships with HR and Learning & Development to support team members' professional growth.



Other Responsibilities:



  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.




Required Qualifications:



Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.



Experience: Minimum of 10 years in device engineering within a foundry environment



Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams in a global, cross-functional environment. Experience managing diverse groups and driving collaboration across teams and locations.



Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively engage with customers, senior management, and cross-functional teams.



Travel: Up to 10% travel may be required.



Expected Salary Range

$163,000.00 - $285,500.00
