Description: Our client is currently seeking a Trade Manager!


Position Type: Full-Time


Reports To: Director of RGM & Trade Strategy


Responsibilities:



  • Evaluate and Approve/Reject Funding: Analyze funding requests from Field Sales and make decisions with insights from the Finance team.


  • Budget Management: Oversee and optimize budget allocations for all Retail Sales cost centers.


  • Finance Liaison: Act as the intermediary between Retail Business Administrators and Finance, advocating for workflow needs and consolidating feedback.


  • Data Analysis: Leverage syndicated data and internal metrics to determine customer-specific trade rates and slotting approvals, minimizing financial risks.


  • Promotional Spending Review: Assess promotional spending plans in MEI for their effectiveness, efficiency, and adherence to company guidelines.


  • Best Practices Sharing: Identify and disseminate trade spending best practices within the Retail Sales team.


  • Tool Development: Design and implement tools for tracking trade spending budgets and pinpointing opportunities for increased efficiency.


  • Strategic Planning: Lead the creation of strategic sales and trade plans in alignment with company objectives.


  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to ensure cohesive trade management operations.


  • Team Management: Directly manage the Associate Manager of Trade Strategy, providing guidance and leadership.


  • MAPS Initiative Support: Assist the Director with major MAPS initiatives, including annual planning and project management.

Requirements:



  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.


  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in CPG sales and/or finance.


  • Skills:

    • Strong analytical and presentation skills.

    • Excellent motivational and interpersonal communication abilities.

    • Proven leadership skills with a track record of influencing and developing teams.




  • Independence: Ability to work autonomously and make informed decisions.
