?The financial analyst II evaluates potential investments, acquisitions and other investments. This position will complete presentations, reports and analysis on forecasted financial information; perform analysis on key forecast inputs and assumptions; conduct market research and prepare extensive financial models in support of business development activity; prepare financial materials to support regulatory filings; assist in preparation of various presentations to be utilized by senior management; and perform other financial and business analysis including ratios, cash flow, sensitivity and other analysis to identify financial impacts of business strategies. Coordinates business development activities with external partners.
Responsibilities:
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
?Develop valuation models, validate senior management internal rates of return targets, utilize various development and contract provision inputs concerning varying types of generation development and analyze various financing options associated with activities in the renewable energy industry. (50%)
Perform corporate, subsidiary and project cash flow and variance analysis. .
Assist in preparation of various presentations for senior management.
Reconcile actual information and prepare analysis explaining differences to budgets and forecasts. (10%)
Conduct the analysis, evaluation and presentation of potential acquisitions and other investments. (20%)
Prepare competitive proposal support including financial models, narratives and research of investment opportunities.
Interact directly as a company representative with counterparts from joint venture partners regarding financial analysis. (10%)
Compile, analyze, research and interpret data to prepare reports, corporate and asset acquisition/divestiture analysis, forecast future trends and stays abreast of economic changes and industry topics. (10%)
Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
?Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
Certification or advanced degree such as CPA, MBA or CFA beneficial.
3+ years related work experience in public accounting, financial forecasting, financial modeling and/or financial analysis beneficial.
Strong accounting and analytical skills; knowledge of financial analysis methods and tools.
Analytical skills to effectively monitor developments in forecasted and actual data and the ability to draw logical conclusions from analysis.
Advanced software skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint and ability to utilize advanced modeling techniques in order to automate model functionality.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
Effective oral and written communication skills
